TIME TO REMEMBER

Today is a special day all across America. Americans are remembering our Nation's fallen at thousands of Memorial Day ceremonies across the land.

Today, we did not take for granted the service of our nation's veterans from the Revolutionary War to our current war in the middle east, we said "thank you" from our hearts to those who paid the ultimate price, their lives, for our freedom and to free others!

Read Dr. McKinney's speech, Time to Remember.

Hoorah for US! Hoorah for Americans! We are still a patriotic nation!
We are still a Christian nation that welcomes all people and all faiths!
There is no other nation in the world that accepts immigrants like we do!

In spite of any perceived flaws, people are still lining up at embassies all over the world trying to get a visa to come and visit America, the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER CHAPLAIN

Are you a retired military chaplain? This means you have the experience, expertise and training to prepare men and women for the chaplaincy.

In today's uncertain world, pastors and ministry leaders are recognizing the fact that the "church" ministry is changing. It's not about a family church where people grow up in the church and their children's children grow up in the church and it is a safe place to be.

We realize that our nation is on guard. We experienced in the past few months, natural disasters, human disasters and now even terrorism and biological warfare in the mail or in the streets. This is why Chaplains are so important.

As pastors care for their flocks during times of emergency, it is the Chaplains that care for those outside the four walls of the church. There are police chaplains, fire department chaplains, corporate chaplains, hospital chaplains, hospice chaplains and the United States Volunteers Joint Services Command Chaplain Corps who's primary missions is supply Final Military Honors for our nations veterans.

We have found the best trained chaplains are "military" trained chaplains.
For this reason, we are looking for a few good retired military chaplains that are willing to pass on their experience and training to the next generation of chaplains.

Through the Chaplains Program at Promise Christian University, they have been preparing non-chaplains for the ministry of the Chaplain since 2007.

What a pleasure to know that these graduates are now fulfilling a need and a mission for our country and for such organizations as the USVJSC Chaplains Corps,
Civil Air Patrol, US Air Force Auxiliary and even the National Guard and various Police Departments and Sheriffs.

We believe in our country and we believe that within our nation are older men and women who still want to serve. It may be you? Visit http://www.mypcu.com/chaplains.htm and see this is something you would like to do!
